Meatballs with seaweed and a sea-scented flavour

Ready in 20 minutes | Makes approx. 20 meatballs

Looking for a delicious and easy way to prepare a summer aperitif? Here's the recipe for seafood-flavored meatballs, completely vegan. Made with rice and potatoes, they're flavored with nori seaweed, a traditional Japanese ingredient.

Ingredients

  • 250g of already cooked rice
  • 250g of already cooked potatoes
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 1 large sheet of Arnaboldi Nori Seaweed
  • 3 or 4 tablespoons of potato starch
  • parsley and garlic to taste
  • salt and oil for frying

Preparation

In a large bowl, combine the cooked rice and boiled potatoes. Using a fork or your hands, mash the mixture well until well combined.

Then add the tomato paste, parsley, garlic, salt, and finally half a sheet of Arnaboldi Nori Seaweed . Finally, add the starch (you'll need 3 or 4 tablespoons, depending on the consistency of the potatoes).

Wet your hands slightly and work the dough, it will be easier to form the meatballs.

Fry the meatballs in plenty of hot oil until golden brown and crispy.

Finally, to enhance the "marine" flavor, chop the other half of the nori seaweed sheet and season.

Serve the meatballs with your favorite sauce!
